I have black hair and I'm trying to figure out whether I should cut it and get a new style or just buy a bunch of new products. My Mom'll only let me spend so much on it though...

layers will look very good. thick hair is beautiful you are very lucky. just use a frizz serum liek frizz ease by john frieda before blow drying and straighetning. layers will make it look more shapely and less puffed.

when you say balck hair do you mean afro american hair? because you could keep it short. but if you are not then you could do a fun hairdo for the summer by cutting it really short and sassy!!!
