Whats a good way to make thick and frizzy hair look nice?

My hair is slightly wavy and very thick. When i dry it, it only gets poofyer and frizzier. I've tried straighteners, and sunsilk's straightening shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner to make your hair straight. I've finally decided to curl it and it looks good like that, but it takes forever for me to do. I always ask for layers when i go to get a hair cut, but they say no. it's very annoying. I need some suggestions on either how to make my hair straighter and have it work, or curlier and make it less time consuming w/ out chemicals.

They always say no? Try finding a hair stylist that will cut your hair in layers, then start shampooing and conditioning for your hair type I reccomend:

Sunsilk de frizz

Herbal Essences None Of Your Frizzness

Pantene Pro V Time Renewal

Garnier Fructis Curl And Shine

For a hot oil treatment I reccomend Alberto Vo5, also for a deep conditioning as well.

heyheyhey..i have exactly your problem..i love my hair when its straightened though. They are right. Layere will just make it more poofy. Trust me. I am getting my hair with some sort of treatment that makes it less frizzy and that stuff...when you dry it sometiems it does get frizzier..but if you dry it with that special round brush and put a head on your dryer that is thin and not the round one....and if you do it right it will straighten your hair instead of poof it. I just went to the hairdresser today and they straightened my hair today like that and it looks great!

Have you ever tried straightening it? Use a flat iron, but make sure it is a ceramic one, those ones work the best. My hair is the same way, and when I use that it works real nice. Also Herbal Essence makes a spray that you use with your flat iron that helps protect it from the heat and it also leaves your hair shiny and soft. If you use a good flat iron it doesn't take that long to do, it's definitely faster than curling all of your hair.

My hair is very thick and curl so i use frizz ease to scrunch my hair so i don't have to straighten it everyday. if you use frizz ease get step 4 it comes in a purple bottle and only wet the ends when you do it b/c if you wet the top your hair it will get all frizzy when it dries.

No, don't straighten it. Wavy and curly hair is cute once you know how to manage it. If u buy lots of leave-in products just simply follow the instructions on the back. It will say apply to damp hair (and after this step I let it air dry in my hair.. or I blow-dry my hair upside down) and it will look good. Frizz is apart of your natual hair texture so theres no way of eliminating it for good. For my hair I use Curl-Keeper

Curl Junkie, and mixed chicks makes your hair look nice too when u put it in after u wash it. Some products work better though. I bought these products off of www.curlmart.com

Forgot to mention.. use a ceramic blow-drier, with diffuser, that has ions in it (reduces frizz when u blow-dry). and that website has products for curly hair and frizzy hair.
