Alright, i have super thick FRIZZY hair, straightner help?

I have really thick hair, SUPER DUPER THICK. i like to curl my hair, it looks good. but i mean, sometimes i want to straighten it. So i'll straighten it, and it'll look good for about, oh, say 15 minutes. then it frizzes, poofs, and get's wavy. ( the florida humidity doesn't help! ) it looks so horrible i have to put it up in the middle of the day! i bring a brush to school, it does no good. i have anti frizz but it doesn't make my hair straight again. Can anyone give me a brand of straightener or anything that could maybe help me? Maybe a spray or something that will control the frizz better? im sick of walking around and seeing pretty straight hair while mines frizzy and wavy, even though i straighted it!

one reson it could be frizzy is because its dry. straightening and curling it, all that heat from the tools can KILL you hair. try not doing that for a while, and also try a really moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, also only shampoo every OTHER day. if you have frizzy hair, the worst thing you can do it brush it when its dry. take a little lotion and rub inbetween your palms, and then on your hair. it helps tame the frizz.

Are you using a product to apply to your hair before you straighten it?

I've used Paul Mitchell's the Heat product, and that helps defend against humidity. Just stay away from products that contain alcohol as those will only promote the frizzies!

i have somewhat your problem before you straighten use a heat sealer it's just like a cream you put in your hair. and also use a leave in conditioner. it'll help the frizz

I straighten my hair, and if its hot or humid outside...or if im sweating my hair turns poofy and curly... %26gt;__%26lt;

And if i straighten it and its windy outside then my hair becomes too flat and tangled... %26gt;_____%26lt;;;

(and i hate using hairspray..it stinks and makes your hair hard...) %26gt;___%26gt;;;

OMG,, i used Sunsilk for poofy hair and it worked for me my hair looked amazing after i also got very thick, curly hair and shoulder length.... it really worked Specially if u use the shampoo, conditioner, and styling creme reallly try it out i use it just see if u like it,,,, it really helps with the frizzies too,,, if it doesnt poof but if its only frizzy try the one for frizzy hair

there is an EXCELLENT straightener you can buy offline or in a salon called Chi. its pretty expensive though. obviously the bigger the size like 1 and a half inches is more than half an inch. you can go to google and type in Chi Straightener and look at different sites to see what im talking about. its a professional straightener and thats why its so good. they also have this oil stuff that you put in your hair to protect it from heat damage. thats pretty expensive though too. about 50 dollars for it. its spendy but worth it. you could also consider getting your hair permanently straigthened.

oh i know what you are talking about..my hair is so frizzy my husband calls me buckwheat (lil. rascals)...lol...anyway i have tried herbal essence none of youur frizzness shampoo and conditioner it really works if you take a shower in the morning, not before bed..it took about 3-4 days before i seen results.

I have thick hair too! Mine's really poofy. Don't use Sunsilk, it doesn't work (or it didn't for me). There are lots of anti-frizz shampoos out there, and I think Herbal Essences has one too. Pantene is a really good brand and I think they have an anti-frizz shampoo. Good luck! I'm still working on my poof problem...

try sunsilks antipoof mixed with their straightener shampoo then get there antipoof 24/7 cream and mix that with some straighten out (in a purple bottle at walmart) Mix your shampoos well by either mixing in your hand or in a clean empty shampoo bottle. then mix your creams in abowl or something with easy acsess. I believe that if you mix shampoos and creams with others it increases there affectivness times 10 And apply your cream when your hair is still wet enough to run your fingers through
