Try some natural prducts like aussie or sunsilk- but I found (because I have long straight thick hair) if you put it up in a bun lets say then after about an hour take it out...it will stay less poofy, also humidity may cause your problem.

im mixed too.... so ive tried A LOT of products...

avoid anything with alcohol in it...(most white products)

try to use creams n stuff..

What I do with mine from looking so poofy; is after I take a shower, I comb my hair, and put loads of hairgel in it and then some hairspray. From that point on, it stays down and curly. But if you're like my son...(he's black and Hispanic) you would prolly need some hair grease with it. I noticed that hair grease works good for his hair texture. Other than that, all I could say is get your straighten (yourself or professionally). Good luck!!
