I have thick hair..?

I need some advice for thinning it out. I'm not planning on seeing a hair stylist so if there are any good products out there that may help me, please list them, shampoo, conditioner, anything.

well... it's not thinning conditioner, but sunsilk anti- poof helps de-poof.. if that's your problem, like it is for me. it works great.

there is no way to actually thin out your hair without getting layers at a salon. that wouldn't really alter your look, either.

it's not impossible. you can buy a pair of thinning shears for under $20. they have a blade that looks ridged and they cut every other hair without changing the length. they are easy to use, you can't mess it up really.

some hair places will have this as part of your haircut, depending on where you live, and others will look at you like you're crazy (if you live somewhere where everyone has light, thin, sparse hair, ahem, not saying where but take a guess) and tell you it's impossible

ummm you can get thinning shears at the store, but if you want it done more professionally go to get a hair cut, ask to get it thined, and if your hair is long enough get layers,that works really well to make it look thinner.

I have thick hair so what I do is layer by layer; apply Fructis sleek and shine ;rub it in, gently blow dry, then flat iron and a dash of hair spray extra hold. its sounds lengthy but only takes me 15 minutes. If you need conditioner choose the anti frizz, sleek labels. I sometimes just wear the crown portion of my hair in a loose pony tail, lol. Makes me look younger and my hair thinner and longer.
