I am a 35yo white male. Being that my hair is black, I have a very dark beard which also happens to be thick. Despite shaving every day with a Gilette Fusion razor, using shaving oil as it gives me the closest shave I still always look like I have a 5 o'clock shadow. What are the options out there to look like I don't always have a 5 o'clock shadow. Please don't tell me to shave twice a day, its not a matter of that. It's a matter of my bear being so dark and thick.

The teenage boy at the grocery store has very fine, jet black hair, so even when he shaves he still has a light shadow, even at 18!

Richard Nixon had the same problem as you. Shaving several times a day and maybe using makeup (they do make men's makeup these days) is about the only solution, other than painful and expensive electrolysis to remove your beard permanently.

Or, consider simply growing a beard.

Nothing to do about it, really. Lots of guys would love to have a visible shadow like you have, many can barely grow a beard. Since it is nothing you can change, just accept it and move on, maybe don't look in mirror so often.
