What is the best hair products for thick, shiny, smoothe, sleek hair??

i want my hair to feel thick and shiny. What should i use?

What is the best hair products for thick, shiny, smoothe, sleek hair??

Use some mousse when you blow dry your hair. When you blow dry upside down it gives tons of volume. Then once dry, brush through it and spray on some Biosilk aeresol silkening spray. Not too much because it can make you look greasy, but just enough, silk it over your hair, brush through, and you will have thick, shiny, silky hair. :-D

Hair and care oil

What is the best hair products for thick, shiny, smoothe, sleek hair??

Coconut hair oil (thickness and luster) and Sunsilk's Anti-Poof Shampoo, conditioner, and 24/7 creme (smoothness and shine). For thick hair, if you don't like the Sunsilk line, go for a brand that has vitamin E (tocopherol) in it, which temporarily increases the thickness of the hair shaft.

I'm trying to grow my hair out. I've got thick blonde hair but get split ends easily. Any suggestions?

try using a hair care system with pills. it grows hair much faster. Keep it conditioned and don't use clips or bands that will take hair out. Don't over-brush it either.

I'm trying to grow my hair out. I've got thick blonde hair but get split ends easily. Any suggestions?

Straightening your hair often leads to weak hair folicles. If you don't think that you can stop straightening hair, try investing in one of the newer models such as the sedu and other ceramics. Get ends trimmed every eight weeks since you do get split ends easily. Don't fall for overpriced products as genetically you are predetermined as to how fast your hair grows. Instead look for ways to keep your hair healthy while you grow it out. Good luck! :)

I'm trying to grow my hair out. I've got thick blonde hair but get split ends easily. Any suggestions?

Use conditioner most days when you wash your hair, don't use clips or rubber bands that would make dent marks, and if they start to get too long then have your hair stylist cut just the ends off. That usually works for me.

I'm trying to grow my hair out. I've got thick blonde hair but get split ends easily. Any suggestions?

OK first use TLC product line. Then clip ur ends every six months. by doing this new growth will come in. Do a deep conditioner with a shower cap and leave for 20 minutes then rinse. let it air dry. style it how ever u want. use less heat. Keep doing this and u will see the difference

The ultimate truth is that for hair to grow longer, we have to eat healthy, exercise adequately, reduce stress and most important sleep well. Include B-complex, B6, and vitamin C, E to make up for any deficiencies. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co... will help you.

What is the best brand of hair conditioner for really dry/frizzy/thick/curly hair?

doesn't matter too much what you use, pantene is good for the money. what matters is afterwards. try finding a leave-in conditioner. this will help tremendously. avoid leaving in conditioners that aren't meant to be left in because their proteins can cause your hair to break. frizz serums help a lot, especially before blow-drying. and blow-drying and straighteners (a good ceramic one) will also help. style your hair every couple of days instead of washing daily. curly hair is more dry than straight hair and doesn't need to be washed daily.

john frieda. light reflecting conditioner. it rocks

What is the best brand of hair conditioner for really dry/frizzy/thick/curly hair?

you need to spend the extra money and buy a professional conditioner. The crap at the drug store is just that, crap! The ingredients are diluted and strip your hair of the nutrients instead of help it. Kerastase has protein that penetrates the cuticle, pureology is excellent, redken makes a conditioner called hair butter that is fabulous. Go to ulta or beauty express and look at redken, matrix biologe, or aveda cherry almond bark. Secondly, u need to deep condition it by putting on a shower cap and heating your hair with a hair dryer for 10 minutes. This gives you a deep heat condition like at the salon that's worth $50 bucks!!! Any really good conditioner will do for the shower cap method, or put the conditioner on and lay by the pool for an hour...same concept= heat! The reason the professional products are more money is because the ingredients are way better and costly to use, hence why the good stuff is $20 and the not good at target is $2.00!!! Trust me, you will love your hair when your done. My pick would be Kerastase masque #3. or Aveda cherry bark. Good luck dear!!!!

HAIR HELP.. so thick and poufy :(?

my hair is so thick and poufy and im sick of flat ironing it ! is there any product or tips on how to have nice hair that doesnt have to be so thick and poufy, flat ironing it only kills it and i dont have time

HAIR HELP.. so thick and poufy :(?

Thininig it out with proper thining scissors you hair dresser can do that and using a sleek look or anti frizz serum should do the trick! Especaily use a hair moisteriser after you wash it or everyday its like your skin it needs a SFP moisteriser

HAIR HELP.. so thick and poufy :(?

i have the exact same problem! my hair is not only thick i have a lot of it! what i did was layer my hair which helped, and my hair is also kind of long so the weight of my hair keeps my hair down on the top a little bit. occassionally though i still use a flat iron, but i always spray something to protect my hair on before i use it.

HAIR HELP.. so thick and poufy :(?

go to a KOREAN hair salon, and ask for a magic straight perm. it's called "MAGIC" and this will straighten your hair, and you don't have to blow dry your hair or even pick up the dayam flat iron again, until your natural hair grows out of course, but for about 6-7 months your hair should be beautiful and managable^^ remember to go to a korean hair salon, because this treatment is made by koreans. there are some other treatments to straighten your hair by different asians, but i found that the koreans did a wonderful job with the magic straight that they made

HAIR HELP.. so thick and poufy :(?

Try Garnier Frutice Leave In Conditioning Creme, it has really helped me.

HAIR HELP.. so thick and poufy :(?

my opinion is just go se a beautician!

How to cope with thick hair?

if you have thick hair, how do you keep it down without getting knots in your hair, or having it down and looking great? I hate having my hair down, because it is too thick and it shows. It easily gets tangled, and I have to wear it half-up, half-down in order for it to look good. now tell me, how do you cope with your hair?

How to cope with thick hair?

OMG I have suck thick hair too. I go to a stylist and have her trim the layers and thin it alot! It really will look good if the person knows what they are doing. It feels natural to they just thin it out with this special tool. I would really recommend doing that. good luck:)

How to cope with thick hair?

if you get it really layered it will thin out. also you can use hair serum. hope this helps !

How to cope with thick hair?

I get a haircut about every three months to keep my ends in good shape, since thick hair tends to get more split ends faster.. especially for me

I also put in leave in conditioner after I take a shower

How to cope with thick hair?

i straitghen mine which helps

How to cope with thick hair?

My hair is thick because of my ethicity. So i have a relaxer. But even that don't help all the time. So i wet it and put oils on it to give it a spanish wavey look. Or i'll use a flat iron with Ions and it striaghtens it. And withthe men in my family promising to kill me if i cut it makes it 5 times harder.

How to cope with thick hair?

This is the best advice youll ever get for your hair...

Ok well i have the same problem ...but mines probably worse cause its also curly...but get a 2" chi straightener...you can get them online.. IT CRAZY! best thing ever in the world!!!! SERIOUSLY NO LIE!...it like makes your hair straight and not frizy! BUY IT%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; ULL BE SOOO HAPPY.

TRUST ME!

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

when it gets hot my hair goes bigger and some times uncurls

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

i gather that's not ok with you - right? do you want it to not expand or to tame the curls? well, if you want it to not expand, you can a) wear a hat b) shave your head or c) use extra strength hair spray - the guys'll never know, so it's all good

if you wanna just tame the curls, take lotion and smooth it through your hair - it'll weigh down your hair

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

so what do you want use to do?

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

use a revo styler and buy some ion spray that blocks humidity

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

Sunsilk anti poof

Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

When your hair is still wet, put gel in like Curls Up, and scrunch your curls. I have very thick and naturally curly hair and it does the same thing. Also, never brush it, that just makes it worse. Use a wide tooth comb instead. I hope this helps. :-)

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

same problem.....tough luck.

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

The best thing to do is to find someone who razor cuts and have it thinned. Also if you go shorter you will take some weight off of the hair shaft and it will curl better.

I cant do anything with my hair its too thick ?

my hair is to thick to do anything with. i try to let it lay curly but it just looks big and bushy.when i straighten it it dosnt work its just kinks.i go to the hairdressers to get it thined out but it only lasts a few weeks.i have no idea what to doo? anyone go any ideas???

I cant do anything with my hair its too thick ?

my son has the same problem, the only answer is to grow it longer, and straighten it, but tie the top section up and do it in thinner sections until its all done, then use the TINIEST bit of Fudge shaper, sleek it over and it will prevent it kinking up during the day with humidity etc, good luck

we tried many many things with his hair and this is the only thing that works, we tried every serum etc and we even chemically straightened his hair, that just dried it out and made it worse

I cant do anything with my hair its too thick ?

i have really thick hair too.

i get mine thinned like you said %26amp; i love that.

i would suggest getting a really good straightener.

or get your hair permenently straightened. that can be expensive though depending on how much you are willing to spend ( over $500) %26amp; it has to be repeated throughout the years.

maybe talk to your hairdresser and see what she has to say, because she would know best!

also, straightening your hair is known to thin it out.

try buying body silk ( $40) at your salon. it doesn't thin my hair it just makes it look thin and not pooff!! OH and try some shampoos such as sunsilk anti-poof =) i hope this helped you some how!!

I cant do anything with my hair its too thick ?

I bet your hair would look beautiful with thick chunky lawyers in it. When your hair is wet put a smoothing light hold gel in it, especially the ends of the layers and use a big round brush to make it curl under. :) ALso highlights look great in hair like that!

My hair was thinned out... any advice on growing it thick again? (Male/White/24)?

I'm a 24 year old white male with long hair. Long story short: It became excessively matted and lots of it was pulled out while trying to untangle it. I managed to get the matting out but at a Pyrrhic cost. It's been several years and my hair looks thin, brittle and kinda lifeless. The area above my forehead looks like it's balding! My hair was thinned out badly. My hair breaks constantly. My scalp even itches a little more these days. It's just not healthy anymore. Is there any way to grow my hair back as thick as it used to be? Can I make my hair healthier? Could any combination of vitamins, frequent hair trimmings (admittedly, I don't have it trimmed often), scalp massages, etc. make my hair grow out normally? What hair-care advice do you think I should follow? Links to additional info would be greatly appreciated.

My hair was thinned out... any advice on growing it thick again? (Male/White/24)?

taking the right vitamins and supplement in your daily diet would help hair growth, you also need to have head massage for proper blood circulation in the scalp:

How can i control my thick frizzy hair?

I have medium length dark brown hair, its quite thick and frizzes when it dries. It looks fine after I wash it and its wet but then it poofs after it dries. Does anyone have any tips for controlling it?

How can i control my thick frizzy hair?

I have the craziest long puffy/frizzy/wild hair ever and after a while just learned to embrace it? The best stuff-I think is Garnier Frutis this putty stuff that comes in a green container. It's very sticky and gloopy but once you use a generous amount in your hair and try to "straighten it out" with your hands, your hair will dry in prettier more calm curls than wild frizz. I also like the Got2Be glue that comes in a bright yellow tube which makes my curls VERY stiff, but holds my hair down to a normal size as well.

xo

How can i control my thick frizzy hair?

Use a good hydrating or anti-poof shampoo and conditioner. I heard Sunsilk Anti-poof (blue bottle) is pretty good.

Try taking out most of the moisture by towel drying your hair. If you blowdry, that might make your hair more poofy.

You can also use defrizzing serums in the morning as a touch-up.

Basically, it's what you put on your hair (shampoo, serums) and how your hair dries that control the poofiness.

How can i control my thick frizzy hair?

infusium anti frizz..works miracles!!

How can i control my thick frizzy hair?

I had this exact same problem. I tried all sorts of things for years and I finally decided to get a buzz cut. I look and feel so much better now.

How do you use a curling iron for thick hair?

straighten your hair first then curl it in sections. it takes more time but it comes out gorgeous! good luck.

How do you use a curling iron for thick hair?

do ur hair in sections

How do you use a curling iron for thick hair?

you have to do it in layers

How do you use a curling iron for thick hair?

It depends how thick your hair is, and if it's naturally wavy.

My hair is naturally wavy and is somewhat thick, and I scrunch it first and then curl only a few strands, and it looks completely full of curls.

Otherwise, you'll have to part your hair into sections and do it bit by bit.

How do you use a curling iron for thick hair?

Do it in 1-inch sections.

I have thick poofy hair, what styling products should i use?

my hair doesnt look good short, but its beautiful long. but since i like it long, it takes wayyyy long to style. i want to wake up shower and have my hair pretty much able to deal with. i already have my hair layerd and thinned out. but that doesnt help the poof. i was thinking about getting sunsilk , does anyone know how well there shampoo is. i use herbal essances right now, and thats the best ive used so far, i dont like pantene, or garne fructise. also what styles are good for people with my kind of hair. and i have conair hair straightner, its decent but i think i need something better. hopefully not to expensive either, ive seen straightners that are like 200 dollars.oh i also DONT look good with curly hair. and also.... is mayonaise good for your hair? if it is, should i put it in before i shower, then shower and wash it out? or do it all in the shower?

I have thick poofy hair, what styling products should i use?

I have the same problem and i use Pantine Pro-V Shampoo and deep conditing then then i spary oil sheen on it ( its better to manage so that you don't comb aout alot of hair) then i blow dry it and style as usual

**hope this helps**

I have thick poofy hair, what styling products should i use?

Don't bother with Sunsilk- it was a waste and didn't do anything!

If you like your hair straight, long, and smooth you might want to look into Japanese straightening. I tried it a few years ago and I was real happy. Though, it can be expensive! I went to one place and they wanted $600! I found this one hairdresser who did it for $200! So, I was happy and it was worth it.

I have thick poofy hair, what styling products should i use?

Lush products are totally worth it. If you have a store near you, go there and ask them what's good for your hair. I've got thick bushy wavy/curly hair and I use Lush's Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo %26amp; Coolaulin conditioner - it's GREAT - all natural, none of that residue-heavy crap you buy at the drugstore, and your hair will show the difference.

I have thick poofy hair, what styling products should i use?

i have the same problem i have hair to my bra and it is thinned about as much as they can thin it i have poof as well but mine is more like frizz as far as flat irons go your best bet are 100 percent ceramic plates you couldnt buy them in stores up until recently and they ran very high now walmart has one that is 100 percent ceramic and about 40 dollars still kinda high but it beats spending 40 dollars on items to control your hair and spending that a week like me as far as product i have used everything you can imagine from matrix to redken to walmart products and the only i have found that truly works and cuts drying time in half i went from 50 min to dry my hair down to 20 and that is Paul Mitchells Super Skinny the product says one pump but honeslty i use about 7 to 10 on my hair a little more or less according to the weather and i put it on in sections instead of just running it through i pull my hair in sections and coat each section you would have to adjust for your hair but even if you use to much your hair still looks cool cause it gives it that i just got back from the beach look just without being stiff and crunchy i hope this helps as far as mayo i never tried it

Problems with thick hair, what hair tools do you buy?

My hair is so thick it really broke 3 hair clips, they poped.

Problems with thick hair, what hair tools do you buy?

I use a large alligator clip that has round teeth and little spikes on the inside to hold on hair... it really it the only thing that keeps my hair up. Also this hair sticks that you poke through a bun...like a pencil to keep it up.

Problems with thick hair, what hair tools do you buy?

flat iron

Problems with thick hair, what hair tools do you buy?

I have heard that there are these special scissors that you can cut your hair with and they only but like 1 out of every 10 hair strands or something like that. go to your local hair place and ask about them. hope i helped! good luck!

Problems with thick hair, what hair tools do you buy?

Why don't you have your hair layered. It will take some of the weight off. I have the same problem and after I got it layered my hair felt thinner and was more manageable.

I have thick, wavy hair, that goes boofy..?

i usually straighten it (GHD, works a treat), but coming up to summer i want to be able to just leave it.. i LOVE how my hair looks when wet, messy curls and not boofy, but as it dries, it goes insanely boofy etc, i want to know if there are any products that i can use that will make my hair stay how it looks when its wet?! if that's possible!!!! without losing the curl (so i can swim and not worry etc!!)

I have thick, wavy hair, that goes boofy..?

hi, i have very curly and thick hair too and this is what works for me:

i wash my hair with any conditioning shampoo (change shampoo every month), then i put on any conditoner and leave it on for 15 min.

after rinsing, i use any hair serum that doesNOT contain alcohol, all serums are more or less the same, as long as they contain no alcohol,

i comb my hair and then when my hair is half dry i use products like dove deep replenishing hair cream, aveda elixir, Fructis definition and bounce cream and let it dry naturally

good luck!!

I have thick, wavy hair, that goes boofy..?

My hair is just like yours; if you're not swimming, use a leave-in conditioner that will keep the curls soft and looser. For swimming, it's hard to keep a product in your hair, but hair gels are the best for water.

I have thick, wavy hair, that goes boofy..?

Curlz Rock by tigi, or the cheaper version Noodle Head at Sally's beauty supply. Both will define the curl and hold it. You will also need a spray in leave in conditioner to go on before and some light -medium hair spray.

I have thick, wavy hair, that goes boofy..?

I have the same hair. Don't get it cut short because I now wake up looking like I have stuck a fork in a power socket!! Try sunsilk curl booster gel. It comes in a tube from any supermarket for around $6. I found it to be good because its not to heavy and sticky on your hair.

I have thick, wavy hair, that goes boofy..?

to give your hair a wet, beach look, while keeping your curls, make this oil mixture to run through your hair.

2 tablespoons coconut oil

2 tablespoons jojoba oil

10 drops ylang-ylang essential oil.

shake well to compined and store in jar.

What does a body perm do to thick hair?

I have decently thick hair and it is colored but i'd really like to get some curl in my hair. I've heard getting a body perm will do this. Is it bad to do this with thicker hair? btw- my hair is STICK straight.

What does a body perm do to thick hair?

I think perms are ALWAYS a bad idea. The person doing them usually isnt too skilled at it either. Especially at newer trendier salons, because their school concentrated mostly on new trendy techniques and hairstyles. You will most likely get your hair melted off, or aquire an extreme amount of chemical damage. You are better off using volumizing products and blow drying with head upside down with diffuser and large round brush. Then while hair is still hot spray with a lightweight setting lotion and wrap around large velcro roller, going in different directions all over your head. When cooled completely take out and lightly mist with setting spray and shake fingers throughout, smoothing top layers and fly aways. (Whenever using any type of roller use large to extra large for slight body and wave and go smaller depending on how tight you want your curl/wave.) You can also get a cut with a lot of broek up layers to add body and versatility.

What does a body perm do to thick hair?

it will give you an afro lol :))

it will curl your hair but it will also make it BIG HAIR if you know what i mean. you can get a perm first and then have the stylist thin your hair and it wont make it so BIG.ALSO if you dont plow dry and put a leavin cond. in your hair it wont blow up.

What works for curly,thick,dry hair?

I bought Garnier and its ok. I even cut my hair to take all the dry ends out! Although I straighten my hair for special occasions but its takes me literally 3 hrs to do my hair b/c its so think and curly. I refuse to get it cut thin b/c I got it twice and my hair was really weird. Someone please help

What works for curly,thick,dry hair?

*Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

*To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

*The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

*Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

*Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it will disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part preferably to one side). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

*Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then air-dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air-drying or it will frizz!

*Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave Naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (Ulta), for your hair. Cheaper suggestions are Nature's Gate or Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores). I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

*You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (Ulta) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

*Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey

What works for curly,thick,dry hair?

buy pantene and i use 3 conditioners 4 my hair(i knoe but when i don't use all three my hair gets horrible) i get conditioner, deep conditioner and leave in conditioner and it doesn't leave my hair dry and stuff instead it makes it shiny light and beatiful!

What works for curly,thick,dry hair?

Um HELLLOOO just get some anti-frizz serum or something like that and put it through your hair while its still wet and then either let it air dry or use a very low speed with the hot setting. I dont even have curly hair and I know that!

What works for curly,thick,dry hair?

see if any hair salons around you do the helix cut. i heard its good for your type of hair.

What works for curly,thick,dry hair?

well u can try to leave it curly and add alot of gell so it can have a shiny and look and some anti frizz by sunsilk it might work if u put enof make shure its not to dry and make it look wet and silky and shiny beleve me its happened to me i know how u feel....

What works for curly,thick,dry hair?

You should deep condition your hair and minimize the heat tools. Also wear conditioner and a shower cap while your in the shower to help your hair absorb moisture. You should try pantene relaxed and natural it will work for all hair types and is extremely moisturizing.Try frizz-ease it will tame your curls.

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

My hair is quite thick, dry, frizzy, puffy, wavy, and it's past my shoulders. What is a good hair straightener to use (be specific) that is not very expensive, and where can I buy it?

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

I used a Conair for awhile, my hair is really puffy and goes very curly at my shoulders (My hair is mid-back length). The other answerers are right, I bought a chi a year ago and it works prefectly, giving me straight-but not dead-looking hair.

Whatever straightener you choose, please get a ceramic one. The damage is not worth the money saved on a cheap straightener. Good Luck!

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

Use a chi staightner or a ceramic one. Both will be helpful but a chi may be more expensive than a ceramic depending to the staightner.

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

the only one i can think of that works the best and worth the money is the chi. ive had mine for over 5 years and it still works like new!

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

the chi is a good straightener

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

Remington Wet To Straight is good. You can straighten uyour hair while its damp, but it fries it. So use it on dry hair. You can find it at walmart for only 29.99

Very good straightner. Leaves your hair stick straight., shiny, and doesnt frizz at all.

Make sure to put heat protector in your hair, so it won't fry, or get damaged.

I have thick, course hair. Any cute medium length hair cuts to show me?

I get my hair cut in 3 days and WANT a new style!

I have thick, course hair. Any cute medium length hair cuts to show me?

remember when Rachel had her hair cut in the first Friends series... i think that may suit. it's layered so will have some bounce to it and not look as thick or course when cut in a feathered style around your face

good luck xx

I have thick, course hair. Any cute medium length hair cuts to show me?

i can not draw a picture of a haircut using letters-sorry.

I have thick, course hair. Any cute medium length hair cuts to show me?

Try a bob like Nicole Richie.

But thats only if you dont have a long head. If you have a long head like Tori Spelling short hair is not for you!!

I have thick, course hair. Any cute medium length hair cuts to show me?

i have the same kinda hair and i got mine layerd and angled in the front so that my front pieces are shorter than the rest of my hair but it belnds in nicely so its not choppy looking. and then i part it to the side a bit. i think its pretty cute. i dont have a pic to show you though. good luck

I have thick, course hair. Any cute medium length hair cuts to show me?

Down to your shoulders (or above) is a really cute spring look, even though it's not spring yet, but it's just around the corner...I had this done before and everyone loved it.

Go check out the naturally curly site. They have a curlmunity message board section as well as featured hairstyles and salons for us curly grrls:

http://www.naturallycurly.com/

Have you seen the book Curly Girl by Elaine Massey yet? Or checked out the book Curl Talk by Ouidad? They both discuss special cutting techniques for curly hair. They are both NYC stylists but Ouidad has hair salons that have been trained in her technique in other places, too.

There's also a guy I heard of recently who has what he calls special "tunnel cuts" that both curl and shape, but also thin out the the hair, but he claims only he can cut hair like this!

Look for Andie Macdowell pics wearing her hair both curly and straight-- using the same haircut. Her naturally curly hair is very curly, spirally type curls and very thick. But her hair is very fine. If she had bushy or wiry hair, some of her styles would be so big, they'd be bouffants!

See the difference on Andie, between short and layered (top pic) and long and mostly one length (bottom pic), here:

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/andie...

Don't cut your hair shorter than chin length with our type of hair, regardless of layering technique or the type of cut used, or you'll end up with "pyramid hair" which is a triangular-shaped afro! Or worse, "football helmet head". And you'll have to use tons of product, that make the hair look stringy, wet or crunchy, to get it to lay properly at that shorter length.

My opinion and experience with 40 years of dealing with curly hair that is truly curly and not just wavy, is that to have it look the best in all weathers, and to give you some versatility, you either have to crop it close to the head (less than 1-2 inches in chunky sections all over) or go really long (past shoulder length, with "bangs" or layers no shorter than chin length).

Otherwise the bangs pouf up wierdly or on the sides of the head, you get "dog ears" hanging down in weird shapes or chunks when you wear it "wash and go" curly.

Now, if you want to straighten it every day or wear it up or back while curly, you can cut it above shoulder length and layer it all over, but be aware that when you do that it must be kept up/back or straightened or you will have a flyaway mess with no real shape or style to it. But it will be very light and thin and will look great when straight.

Go here to see some really cute curly hairstyles of all lengths and see the curl clinic with questions and answers:

I would start using John Freida and his hair products. And when you get out of the shower comb through your hair with a pick. You can get these at drug stores. Don't use bristle-brushes on wet hair because it pulls hair out. Let low on the mousse kk?

Are your nails breaking off more easily as well? Have you felt very tired recently? These can all indicate that you are low on iron. You can call your doctor and order a blood test to check your iron count. If you are low, there are over-the-counter pills you can take to help boost your iron levels until they are back to normal.

Thanks for reading and God bless!

I used to have thick shiny hair but now I am losing hair by hundreds. Help!?

1) See your doctor %26amp; have your thyroid checked. Excessive hair loss = symptom of low thyroid.

2) Try a different shampoo - one w/o DMDM hydantion, Quartinium-15 or formaldehyde as preservatives.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Is one more manageable than the other? Just curious. :)

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

In between, not too thick or too thin.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

thick hair imo is harder to manage but I prefer it over thin hair =)

x3 LiiN3a x3

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

thin hair. you can come up with more hairstyles and you only have to use less hair products.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Of couse thin hair would be better to manage but I don't think anyone is better than the other.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

There are hairstyles for both. You can look good both ways. It really doesn't matter.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

thick hair thats what u want its healthy and beautiful,

it is easier to manage because your hair isnt dried out and brittle as it would be when its thin, ussally hair thins wiht over bleaching, and sun damage also heat styling can damage hiar so use a product like a thermal protector is you blow dry straghten or curl your hiar , ect.

hope it help my dear

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

My hair is verrry thick, but you know why i like it more that thin hair?... because you can do a lot more with it, and it wont look so week and yah well u know. you hav a lot more umpth, you wont have to buy things that will giv you more volume you can work with it.... and if you wanted it straight an stuff u can do it or visa versa... THICK IS BETTER!

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Being a hairdresser, I think thick-tressed gals have the advantage. If your hair is thick, you can get a texturized style to take the bulk out and make it manageable and easy to style. Thin hair, the only thing that will make it look thicker is volumizers, teasing, hairpieces, extensions, or a shorter do. So I think thick hair is more versatile, and also can be worked with more chemically. It can take a lot more stress than baby fine strands.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

I think that they both have there advantages/disadvantages!

People with thin hair can find it hard because thin hair, of course lacks volume, but you can try teasing, using a volumising spray/shampoo and conditioner the hair to give it more root lift and body! Or you can go and talk to your stylist about different cuts like layers or a blunt fringe!

People with thick hair usually have troubling with styling (e.g. straightning/curling) (I know I do). But you can also try different products and shampoos/conditioners and heat tools. But as I have thick hair I know the struggles, but my mum suggested to me that I get my hair thinned out, which really helps to take all that excess weight off, layers are also helpful!

Thanx

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

It's easier to thin out than to thicken, and thick hair has more natural body which looks really good when worn long.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Thin / thick hair is a good question!!! You must be referring to the size of the hair itself. (coarse or fine) or are you referring to the amount of hair on the scalp. ( per square inch )?

Usually fine haired people have a lot of hair per square inch on their scalp. Fine hair is easier to manage butt.... it takes a lot more product to get fullness. This hair type usually falls flat sooner than thicker or (coarser) hair. Coarser hair can be thinned out to make the style. So in my opinion.... thicker hair is better. You can always take away but can't add hair. Hair extensions can be added for more fullness.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

I wouldnt nessessarily say one is more manageable that the other. I have insanely thick hair and it drives me bonkers. I have shaved the underside of my hair for 13 years because it is so heavy.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

doesn't matter at all..thin or thick as long as you give them enough care, that's what really matters.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i ha

My hair is very thick and curly and i live where it is humid. I want it thinner, but I don't want the friz from the extra humidity. I go back and forth from very dry, to very humid, and in both places, i could have the frizz. Any suggestions?

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Please do not let anyone razor your hair in order to thin it.....It will be frizzy then. In order to thin someones hair who has curly hair your just going to have alot of layers in it or have the hairstylist use thinning shears.......it is a pair of scissors with notches in them. Tell them to part off your hair and go underneath the hair in certain parts using the shears.....never let them do it at the surface of your hair....then you will notice it. If i were you i would try to find a master hair designer and ask questions about her or his experience in curly hair. Also notice the way the hairstylist keeps their hair.....if its curly then ask them if its natural and if it is they would know out of all how to take care of curly hair......hope you get a good experience in your haircut....i am a hairstylist and also have curly hair VERY CURLY.....so i know how bad haircuts can be. Also....you can solve the normal frizz with a anti frizz serum from redkin and or hot curly hair by hot sexy hair products......if you cant afford salon products go for one at walmart.....try to find one humidity proof or moisture proof.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

no

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

dont let them thin 2 much of your hair (it will grow back worse)

have em layer it

after washing put some anti frizz (suave has a good one thats a anti friz gel)

good luck

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Sorry, cant help ya. Cant even sympathize. I would love to have thick hair.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

just explain to your hair dresser they know what to do.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

We all want what we don't have. Do you know how many women would love to have thick, curly hair? I don't have any suggestions for you, sorry. I just had to point out that you have a 'problem' many would like to have.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

conditioner your hair with curd it will definately make your hair soft and shiny.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

i suggest that you maybe straighten your hair and then they have anti friz stuff that you can buy from avon or go to the store and buy doves anti friz stuff or we can just switch hair mine is straight and i am going to get a perm so i can have it really curly anyways good luck

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Hi... I have the same prob. I got the Pantene Smoth and Silky shampoo and that helped. It gets rid of the frizzies and weighs your hair down a tiny bit so it doesn't seem as thick. Give it a try! Worked for me.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Have it razored into layers, and then use anti-frizz serums. They really do work, straightened or not. I have thick wavy hair and I use anti-frizz stuff all the time, it really helps. I live in Florida and there's TONS of humidity.

Don't use Pantene. The shampoo is REALLY harmful to you hair, because it strips it. The conditioner gooes in and puts wax in all the stripped areas of your hair, so it feels smooth and silky, but its really getting more damaged. Use Dove.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

That happen to me to and it drive crazy the best thing you should do is try to keep yourself cool and dry and away from the sun

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

use hair gloss when you get out of shower and reapply a little after styling hair. pantine and bio-silk have great hair gloss products. make sure you rub just a small amount in palms for bout 30 secs before putting on hair cause if too much then hair looks greasy

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

maybe you should try the new shampo%26amp;conditioner then use one of the new gel products.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

i have a similar problem. i would get your hair thinned but tell the stylist not to cut close to the scalp( no razors use thinning sheers). have her/him do it to where the hair will lay down and the frizz, i use thermasilk shampoo and conditioner and then i blow dry my hair, but ir you don't want to blow dry i would find a product that specializes in frizz control.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

have you tried a pern and treament or straighten it

and i have tthick curly hair also

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

I have very thick hair and i always wanted it to be thinner, guess what thats not true...you really can't thin out ur hair u can get it layered but thats about it. Also put some gel %26amp; hair spray in it or use leave in cond., whats really good but expense is Bio Silk it smells wonderful and it really works. trust me i got really thick curly hair i've been there

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Leave it like it is, trust me. Mine is thin and curly and I have a lot. I get flyaways sometimes because it is so thin.

But, if you want it thin, you could use a mild relaxer.

If you leave it curly, when you wash it, don't rub it with a towel. The best thing you can do is patch or blot dry.

Curly hair shouldn't be combed either, after you come out the shower. Just comb it to detangle when you put on the conditioner.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Garnier products are very good (excellent) and really can help out your problem...

Ask in the store where you can buy them or visit their website:

www.garnierfructis.com

and you can check yourself and see which product can help you ;-)

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

for a second there I taut that was me. it's the exact description of how my hair WAS. i did two things to my hair. so u can pick one....i first went to the hair dresser and asked them to thin it out. they use the scissors in a different manner. it works well. then i was still not quite satisfied because my hair was still frizzy and bushy esp. when it was humid. i then went to a special hair dresser who does the japanese hair straightening. my hair became a permanent straight (i just have to go bak once or twice a year to do the new growth). it's not frizzy anymore. and it looks thinner because the hairs are much flatter on the head. not many places do the japanese straightening, but i live in NY, so there's plenty of places here.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

My hair is also really thick and really curly. The more conditioned it is, the less frizzy it will be. Moisturize it when you shampoo, moisturize it after [leave-in] ; deep condition at least once a month [if your hair is damaged, once a week] . Find a gel for frizzy hair to style [gels will work better than moose]. But shampoos and everything for dry hair. Good luck.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

ask you stylist to us hair thinning shears. and mayb a perm

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Go to a good hair dresser and have them layer it. Just explain to them they way you want it. If they live in the same town then they probably go through this alot.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

if you have the money, you should try a japanese straightening system. it will relax your hair and change the texture completely. it lasts for about a year depending on how fast your hair grows. it is very costly however.

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Have your hair thinned on the under layer and use a ceramic curling iron or straightener to get rid of the frizz

My hair is really thick and curly, and i want it thinner. i just don't want it frizzy when i have it thinned.

Definitely get it layered.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

MY hair is so thick! how do i take the bulk out?

also i am planning to grow it out about 5 inches past my shoulders, will it stay the same thickness all the way or will it thin out?

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

Try layering your hair. And if you grow your hair longer, the heavier it is, and your scalp will feel like it has a load tugging it. Experience! :P =P

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

it will start thinning out but ask ur hair person to thinnin it my hair used to be think but now its thin

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

Oh uh well...Try straightning it,it just your normal hair you have to get it done someway to fix it.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

It stays the same! I hate my thick hair 2, just never ever get it thined. I learned the hard way.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

get it cut in layers it looks less thick.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

mine too....my mom just straigtens it out because if you get a pirm it will make your hair nonhealty. just wash it and ask a hair dresser or, your mom to straighten it

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

My whole family has this problem. Easily solved, just go to any haircutting place and ask to have your hair thinned. They have special scissors that will thin your hair as much or as little as you like. I have my hair thinned and it's much nicer.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

dont thin it out TOO much or it will look either stringy or just way too thin, ask your hair stylist to thin it out some and maybe not so many layers if you have them

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

I will start being all cheesy and say that you should be happy cause I'd love to thick hair. Lol, but sadly... if you plan to grow it out, it will still stay thick. Do you plan to use a hair straightener?

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

oh i hate that, i have really thick hair too and since i cut it short its been a mess. to get it to feel thinner i have been blow drying it then straightening it. but if you want to grow your hair long thats not something you want too do. before i cut my hair it was down to my butt. but it was all dead from all the blow drying and stuff so beware of that. and yes as it got longer it seemed a little thinner.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

why would you want your hair thinner? i love having my thick hair

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

Your hairdresser can cut it in a certain way to make it appear and act thinner..without really even thinning it out. You really ought to love it...I mean, seriously...while everyone else is losing their hair and stuff, you should have quite a bit left! Embrace it, really. :)

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

You can use hair pins to style. I wish my hair is thicker!!!

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

1. Be happy your hair is thick.

2. When it gets long the weight will make it appear to be thinner than it really is.

3. If you can deal with it let it grow fairly long, then you can cut it off like I did and donate it to "Locks of Love".

I recently got 15 inches cut off. I know you would make someones day and they would love your thick hair after all the treatments they have gone through and losing their hair.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

Layer it and a hair stlyist can even thin it out for you... I get mine done and it is so nice!

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

yes. my hair is SO thick. ppl say i have thin hair cuz i straighten it.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

ask for thinner hair by whoever does ur hair

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

i hate my thick hair too!but my mom brought the thinning scissors and does it for me everytime she cuts my hair. i love it. after it grows out, it will get thicker, but you could always thin it out again. you could go to your barber to get it done, or if you know a good friend or relative that knows how to work a hair thinner, get them to do it for you. the best thing is to get layers. it works out well and it makes your hair look less thick. thats what i did.

MY hair is so thick! i hate it!?

You should get your hair layered. Your hair well look and feel thinner and it is more easy to manage.

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

Okay I found this picture of a random person who has hair that looks like mine. It is almost identical except my hair is frizzier: http://www.greatestlook.com/longhair/lon...

I do not want to have to do any chemcial stuff and not to expensive. PLEASE HELP IM IN DESPERATE NEED!!!!

THANKS A BUNCH!!!!

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

All you need is some curl cream or curl gel (Redken has good curl cream; Garnier Fructis has good curl gel) All you do is run some through your hair after your shower, and it'll define your curls without making your hair poofy. :]

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

try garnier fructis hard curl gel, you scrunch it in your hair and it makes your curls more defined and less frizzy.

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

for the 1st pic

- blow dry ur hair straight and divide it into thin sections

- spray curl activator in each section and curl it using hot iron

- spray it to hold the curls in place

- separate the curls with ur fingers

for the 2nd pic

- wash ur hair and apply leave-in conditioner

- apply any strong hold gel or wax

- roll the hair into small sections while the hair is still damp

- let it dry and undo the rollers

- separate the curls with ur fingers.

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

wash your hair, blow dry it completely... then take equal amounts of hair and curl them, dont get other hairs caught where its not supposed to be, if you know what i mean.. lol, sorry thats wayy confusing.

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

towel dry ur hair when u get out of the shower and scrunch mousse in ur hair then wen it dries it wont be frizzy and it will look like that

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

try using curl life from you local GREAT CLIPS

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

Use lots of medium hold gel and let ur hair air-dry. Also use some anti- frizz balm after ur hair dries

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

Oiudad salon products are made specifically to shape curly hair of all kinds. You may want to give it a shot. But I gotta say, transforming hair is still going to cost you some since products that actually work are not under $10. so be prepared to fork over twice that amt.

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

what you can do is to put some hair serum while your hair is damp and braid it. the serum will keep the frizz under control, and then blow dry. unbraid you hair and then it should look like that. i used to do it with my daughter's hair.

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

I have very curly hair and it is very poofy and frizzy. These things have helped a lot: Before you finish your shower turn the water on cold and soak your hair for 3 or 4 minutes in it. Mousse or hair creme after you shower is great. My favorite brand is paul mitchell and Ive heard that bed head is amazing. oo and hydrating curls by herbal essences. dont put your hair up until it is completely completely dry. Many people use serum which does woek buut my hair is dark and it makes it look too shiny that it just looks greasy and gross so I dont use it.

How do I get my frizzy thick curly poofy hair to look like this?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

I have Long, Very thick, Very straight hair. I like curls, I want Curls! Please Help me!!?

I can use hot rollers, or use curling iron on my hair and it looks beautiful, but 15 to 20 minutes later-- It's Flat again!! I have tried all kinds of mousses and gels to help hold curl.. Nothing helps. I want a perm--I THINK! I just don't want to look like I stepped out of the 80's.

Live in fairly small town and am concerned about the stylist here and their ability to do a " loose curl perm".

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated- Maybe there is some magic product out there I have not tried. :)

I have Long, Very thick, Very straight hair. I like curls, I want Curls! Please Help me!!?

Ask them to do a piggy-back wrap on their largest rods. On longer hair I, on occasion, take the rods out after the rinse and neutralize the hair while hair is unwrapped. I think it helps curl look very natural.

I have Long, Very thick, Very straight hair. I like curls, I want Curls! Please Help me!!?

Yes, I am. Use the largest rods, rod length won't matter as much. Remember that purple rods are NOT the largest rods; the largest are peach color. Ask for peach rods (not pink). Ask about the possibility of neutralizing off the rod. If they won't do it just trust that they know what they are doing! Report It

I have Long, Very thick, Very straight hair. I like curls, I want Curls! Please Help me!!?

Easy.

Rag Curls.

www.nocturne.com/swing/hair/rag-curler...

This website is amazing. They'll show you how to do those and if you wanna go bold. Pin Curls.

One quick question? Do you leave the hot rollers in until they are cool again? I usually let them sit for at least 30 min. And I spray each one as soon as I pin the roller. And then spray again when all are in. It usually works for me.

And another question? Do you do it when your hair is "dirty"? Ususally 2nd day hair is my best curl days.

I have Long, Very thick, Very straight hair. I like curls, I want Curls! Please Help me!!?

every small town is not too far from a city... take time one day after researching online a well known salon near you like maybe a jean madeline or Bubbles... just make sure you talk to the receptionist after picking the salon and ask her if she knows who specializes in perms out of all the stylists and make sure you explain and let the stylist know exactly the type of curl you want and ur hair type... and remember its now going to come out exactly how you imagine cuz thats not how perms work.. u cant get that nice loose curl look with a perm .. its just not possible unless you are willing to pay lots of money. i dont know if they have it in america but in asia like korea and japan they have something called a digital perm and they put in a perm solution and then lock ur hair in these hot roller looking things that are attatched to these wires so u look like madussa %26lt;-- prolly spelled wrong.... and it comes out so perfect. anyways good luck ... i have naturally curly hair and wish i had straight hair. ..

I have Long, Very thick, Very straight hair. I like curls, I want Curls! Please Help me!!?

Dang Girl and im over here trying to get my hair straight. my hair is curly and thick. well sorry but i don't know of any good things to get your hair curly except a do a perm. You may never know the stylist n your town might be good. Just give them a try.

How to Curl Your Hair With a Hair Straightener

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

I have thick wavy hair 2-3 in. below shoulders,a cut like reese witherspoon in sweet home alabama lo

I've only had my hair cut right above my shoulders but i love wearing it straight and have always wanted to try a new cut. I love Reese Witherspoon's hair in Sweet Home Alabama. I'm going Wednesday, Dec. 12 so I need some comments, by the way I have a small face too.

I have thick wavy hair 2-3 in. below shoulders,a cut like reese witherspoon in sweet home alabama look good?

are you gonna get straightening???

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )

We have tried straightening iron her hair was straight but thick.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

get her to get it cut and thinned out. texturing is a technique used to thin out hair and create layers.

also try using serums or products made for use with flat irons to help maximize straightness.

theres one by paul mitchell and I think it's called Super Skinny Serum. try that or other products.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

hot oil treatments

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

Why do you care?

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

the hair dresser can figur somthin out

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

Everybody wants wavy thick hair...I think its better for her to get it styled and she will look drop dead gorgeous...

Why would you even want to straighten wavy hair....feature the waviness instead.

You can get serum which is an oily slime, that will take some of the wave out...but think about getting a hairdresser to shape it into something stunning instead...

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

You could get it permanantly straigtened.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

Cut it all off.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

Get a relaxer (its like the opposite of a perm)

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

get a relaxer or perm

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

If keeping it straight is what she wants then she can get a perm.

There are 2 types of perms, one that put curls in and one that take curls out. The second would be the one that you will need.

I would suggest you take her to a hair salon for a consultation, most consultations are free. Ask for suggestions, treatments and such.....

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

the blow dryer, but you have to put it in layers, thin layers and do them one by one. then oil it up, with straighting oil.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

If you go to a salon they can thin the hair by cutting it using a razor instead of regular scissors I have heard.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

get a chemical staightener its like a prem but you don't put the rollers in it.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

My little sisters hair was really spongy when she was younger about two years ago we got her a perm and now it is very easy to manage and it is very long with plus with good hair you don't have to perm it very often like every 6 months or something around there but yeah maybe you should get a perm!

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

Try a relaxer (or perm). A good brand for beginners is "Just For Me". You can find it at Sally's Beauty Supply or in the african american hair section at walmart and probably some other places too.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

there is a spray you can buy from avon that will straighten your hair and a shampoo that helps the effect of having stright hair

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

just go to the salon my hair is the same way and the hair salon blow dries it really nice. just try it.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

The interior of the bulk hair should carefully removed by a professional that know what he/she is doing. One of the most advanced straighting systems is available thru Faruok (chi) products...example: Silk Infusion, Repair and Shine, and then the ulitmate flat iron put out by Farouk systems the Iron called "CHI"ceramic heating iron. Using this system your hair w/oils (products) will remain straight and will not revert back to it's natural state until washed. It will not burn, dry, or break you hair.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

I have hair from hell! But you would never know it thanks to a Japanese straightening or Thermal Reconditioning. It leaves it Pocahontas Straight! Even after I get out of the shower or have been in a pool or the beach all day.

The "bad" news is that it is a relatively new treatment in the US and some small towns will not hear about it for another 10 years or so. It is super popular in Major cities though, and tends to be a bit expensive.

I go to NY and pay close to $300 every 6 months to get it done- but it is worth every buck! (don't believe that it will cost in the more than $500- though some people might want to charge that)

and it takes a few hours.

http://www.hairfinder.com/hairquestions/...

If that seems too extreme, as a temporary solution, try the Redken line of products, particularly the ALL SOFT- it works wonders! and can be found in any salon.

http://www.redken.com/products/index.cfm...

Hope this helps.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

Did you try a really good flat iron(like one that cost you $150-$200)...it makes a major difference! I have thick wavy hair and mine straightens it very easily....also why the hell do you care about your sisters hair??

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

I have thick, wavy hair and have given up on trying to straighten it. Why? Because then it just looks like a thick, straight mass - very boring - and it takes a lot of effort (blow drying, wax/oil/gel, etc.). Or you have to pay a lot for a perm.

Recently, I went to the hairdresser and she put in some layers to add interest and remove some weight.

I accentuate the waviness now by pinning my towel-dried hair into little "whirls" on my head and then after it dries I quickly work in a light wax to hold the waves and curls. It looks very natural and feminine.

Unless you've got LOADS of money and time it's better to work with your hair than against it!

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

At some special salons, they have this "permanent hair straightener" thing that keeps your hair straight for about half a year. It works really good, almost everyone in my family has it!

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

OMG...why would you want to straighten it? I say get a good layered haircut to make it lighter and encourage it to curl

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

first, i understand why you care, you want your little sister to be happy. she should talk to a stylist, either she can find a wavy hair style she can be happy with, or it can be straitened, but let the stylist take care of it.

My lil sister has thick wavy hair is there a way to keep that straitened? (Straining iron we tried )?

get a chi straitner. i works. and if you would like to you can get her hair thinned out if you r really desperate.jk!

Try the CHI Iron and its associated products, I also would advise getting a mild relaxer like a PCJ perm. But I love the CHI iron. In addition try to find a stylist in your area that specializes in this kind of hair.

Maybe something like Lucy Liu's hair would fit you.

http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/images/...

She has a perfect length and her side-swept bangs are gorgeous.

Even though you don't look like Jennifer Lopez, I think that this hairstyle is perfect for you (not the hair color though).

I think it would be best if you went to a professional salon (go to a hairdresser like Fr鑼卍鑼卹ic Fekkai) and showed the hairdresser pictures of the similar haircut that you wanted.

Hairstyles for thick, frizzy wavy/curly hair?

i have shoulderblade length hair that is frizzy, poofy, thick, and curly/wavy. i am not looking to straighten my hair, but i would like to find a cute hairstyle that fits my lifestyle. i and usually very busy and i play sports, so i dont have much time to work with my hair, so it usually just goes up in a ponytail. i am looking for a cute hairstyle that would go with my type of hair. i wouldnt care if it was short or long, just something i can pull back for sports but also lok cute down. can anyone post some pics please?

Hairstyles for thick, frizzy wavy/curly hair?

I have the same hair you do. I put it 3 different ways.

1. part the middle %26amp; tie in the back leave the back out

2. I have a big clip %26amp; I twist my hair %26amp; clip the back leaving the hair to hang over the clip

3. The classic Pony tail.

I love all 3 styles %26amp; they dont take long to do at all

also i use Carrot Cream %26amp; Moose for my hair it keeps the frizz away

Hairstyles for thick, frizzy wavy/curly hair?

you could get you hair thinned and layered so it wouldnt be so thick and it would be eaiser to manage

you could also go for a shorter hairstyle but not too short so you cant do anything with it

if your hair is shorter than it wouldnt take as long to straighten it if you wanted to

i have thick hair but i straighten mine

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

I want a long hair style ( Kind of like Adam gontier's ) my hair is perfectly straight until it grows out, then it gets thick and kind of wavy... I dont know what to do or what products etc to buy... Help? :D

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

you can go and get it thinned out. it will work for awhile and then it get thick again but it might help a little bit

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

straighten it

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

welll..it depends..if you dont want it to be wavy then cut it again but if you like it wavy you should try herbal essences..i wouldnt use the mouse cause it tends to make peoples hair look stringy..and then when you get out of the shower spray your hair with john freida spray..sorry i dont remember what it is called but it is by john frieda and is for curly/wavy hair..hope that helped!

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

next time you go get ur hair cut tell ur stylist to thing it out...it's pretty cool cuz they just go through ur hair with like a razor or something but u don't have to cut length to do it so it's pretty awsome....

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

Hmmm...that's unusual usually I just have stick straight hair when mine gets long....if long hair is what u are wanting to achieve, try a straightning gel, and a blowdryer with a diffuser.

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

you are lucky that you have thick long, wavy hair!!!

if you want to tone in down though just use Garnnie Frutis dangressly strait products and blowdry your hair strait. or get layers o thin it out, or ask them to "thin" it out for you, but i dont know how much that costs.

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

you can ask the hair dresser to thin it out when they cut your hair and flat iron it. pantene smooth and silky helps I find too. If you flat iron it every day put a leave in conditioner in every once in a while, you can just spray it on and leave it in. dont over due it or it'll be goo and dry hard and look bad. get trims often. using a flat iron can do a number on hair if not taken care of properly.

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

There is no such thing as hair getting thicker as it gets longer!! It is always the same... just the length changes.

I think what you mean is that when it gets longer, there is more of it (of course) and it becomes harder to control. Naturally, as it has more opportunity to move from it's base, it will not stay put. Shorter hair can't move.

Wavy or curly hair doesn't show itself until there is enough length to move or turn or curl. Once it gets long enough to curl once, or twice, or three times, you are going to get a messier look, and it may look like you have more hair (well, you do). Longer hair can look good, but is harder to look after, and means more work. Depending on your activity, your lifestyle, you may find it not worth all that bother. You decide.

Cant do my hair, as it grows out it gets thick and wavy?

The ultimate truth is that for hair to grow longer, we have to eat healthy, exercise adequately, reduce stress and most important sleep well. Include B-complex, B6, and vitamin C, E to make up for any deficiencies. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co... will help you.
