Any hair tips for thick frizzy/curly brown hair?

i have really thick frzzy long brown hair. it streightens pretty nicley, but i want it to be smoother and sleeker, and softer. any tips???

I have super curly hair as well. And when I straighten it I use SuperSmooth by Paul Mitchell. Its great stuff. It leaves your hair silky and smooth. When I leave it curly I usually use Curly, Sexy Hair mousse. It comes in a Blue bottle. I leave it wet when I get out of the shower and put the mousse in and let it air dry.
